Marty Brown Memorial Open Round #1, June 27, Richmond, IN

Tickets are now on sale for the Marty Brown Memorial Open Round #1 to be held June 27th at the A&A Optics range near Richmond, IN. This event (along with the Marty Brown Memorial Invitational to be held in Nov) honor the memory of Marty Brown, a rifle instructor with Revere's Riders who lost a nearly 4 year battle with ovarian cancer in 2017. Revere's Riders has partnered with Ovar'coming Together for this event and will donate a portion of the event proceeds to Ovar'coming Together's programs to support women with ovarian cancer.

Last year, we raised nearly $12,000 for Ovar'coming Together via the combined Marty Brown Memorial Open and Marty Brown Memorial Invitational events. We hoping to at least match that amount this year (but COVID-19 has put a serious dent in our efforts). To that end we have changed the Marty Brown Memorial Open to multiple 1-day events instead of a single 2-day event. This has allowed us to lower the ticket price as well as reduce the time commitment for folks to attend.

Round #1 will be a rifle-focused event loosely following our Rifle 125 (Basic Rifle) format of instruction. Round #2 (event details to be announced shortly) will be a pistol-focused event likely to be held in mid-August at a range near Greencastle, IN. Sign-up for our email newsletter to keep up to date on upcoming events in Indiana (sign-up form is in the footer of the Revere's Riders website).

We have again received substantial donations of items for our silent auction, skills contest and give-aways. Some highlights include:

You could easily walk away with items worth substantially more than the price of your ticket. You can find the full list of items on the 2020 Marty Brown Memorial Open Round #1 Swag Bags, Give Aways, Prizes, Auctions page of the Revere's Riders website.

I need to make it this year. I built a rifle specifically for RR shooting over Corona break. That single has been bugging me for over 2 years now.

Come and join us! Alan and Mae Alcorn of A&A Optics are SUPER gracious hosts and we have a bunch of great items to give-away, award as skills contest prizes and auction off. And it's all going to a great cause: ovarian cancer.

Yup! Bought my ticket this weekend. And I might ACTUALLY have a gun with a sling AND scope 100% sorted out before a shoot for once! It would be nice to have a day of RR shooting where I'm not fighting the gear. And that gripe is fully aimed at ME, not RR!

Only 14 tickets remaining for this event. The price goes up to $150 on 6/20, so make sure to buy your ticket before then. 50% of your ticket purchase and 75% of the skills contest and silent auction proceeds go directly to Ovar'coming Together to support their mission of helping women diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Check out all the great items we will be giving away, putting up for prizes in the skills contest and auctioning off during the silent auction. This will be a great day of rifle marksmanship training, fundraising for a great cause, education on ovarian cancer and camaraderie among a bunch of great people. Come and join us!
