    Hello,

I am only posting this, because I know there are thousands of experienced shooters on here, and I KNOW I won't receive any bogus information. If you could give me some pointers, or give me site addies to check out, that'd be awesome.

    Happy Shooting,
    Erick

I should probably stop you right there... There are thousands of people on the board. Most of them have a gun. Some of them have a bunch. Fewer of them are serious shooters. None of it keeps people from spouting erroneous, silly, or down-right stupid stuff all over this board.

That being said, there is a ton of great information here. There are a lot of activities you can try. Read around on the board and you'll find lots of different competitions announced. Once you see one, google it. See if it looks interesting. If it looks interesting, go out and try it. Just show up at the range and tell people you're new. They will take you in and show you the way.
