Atlanta CC - How many .22 lr pistol steel matches a year/month?

I'm curious if I wanted to build a .22lr pistol up...Which competitions / How many are offered a year could I use it in?

Specifically, Id really like to shoot steel with it...

Kimber - if you are willing to travel a hour or two, you can shoot every weekend. Probably every Saturday and Sunday if you really want to. Check out this website as a start. Indygunracers.com - Indiana Competition Shooting Information This forum is also a great resource for upcoming matches.

Atlanta Conservation club has a steel match once a month all year lonf, subject to weather. And Marion County Fish and game has their matches all year long, subject to weather. In the winter months there are not as many steel shoots but from March to October you should be able to find at least 2 steel shoots and month, maybe more.

The Riley Conservation Club (Terre Haute) has a Steel Challenge shoot the 1st Sat April thru Oct, it has a Rimfire Madness Shoot, the 2nd Sat, April thru Oct. It will also have Bowling Pin Head .22 LR shoots the 2nd or 3rd Tues of the month April thru Oct. Riley Conservation Club shoots 2 rimfire events per month April thru Oct.

1st sat. of the month is Steel Challenge which has rimfire divisions

2nd sat. is Rimfire madness which consists of approx.200 reactive steel targets ...reloading on the clock is required

no holsters required for either event
