    BOWLING PIN MATCH

It appears that a huge low pressure area will be in the area late in the week.
The weather weasels want so badly not to predict bad weather for the race and festivities.
At this point (Tuesday Evening) some of them say slight chance of scattered showers on Saturday,
while others are saying partly sunny. I do not believe them, but I hope the latter opinion is more accurate.
    We'll find out Saturday morning.

So, we should/could/might be shooting bowling pins this month.
If not, we'll set up a few steel plates to shoot from under the roof.
(No it won't be like Friday Night Steel - much less involved)
(sorry the bowling pins plate racks will not be available)

I'll be there at 8am to set up.

We start shooting shortly after 8:30.

Please note: Last month we had 35 to 40 shooters show up.
I have increased the bracket to handle 32 shooters.
In the past a shooter could wander in late and still get into a bracket,
lately, the brackets have been filling up quickly.
The holiday weekend may effect attendance - which way I cannot predict.

Hmm, I might be able to make it out this month. I have plans to go hiking in bloomington, but if the weather looks like it might take a turn for the worse, I will stay local and shoot some steel / pins.

My 1911 is itching to slay some evil pins. Last time I came out I shot my glock 19 9mm and it did pretty well, but a nice flat-nose .45 will be much better :)

    We had 30+ shooters today.
    Maybe 8 new shooters.

Thanks to all who came out to play safely.

Special thanks to all who helped RO and re-set pins.

I must say, that was some of the most fun I've had in a long time. I was a first time pin shooter. Even though on one of my turns, I didn't knock any pins down. ( I should have recieved some kind of an award for that. Other than my brother asking me to go and pick up my pins) I was made to feel very comfortable out there. I will definately be back. Thanks to all who put this on and all the RO's. I had a blast. :draw:
