Whaddya think? The temps look good (40*), and it is supposed to be partly SUNNY...

I think we can squeeze a match in; if the gravel is not iced over.

I have two stages in mind so far ::
    1) Hope and Smoke (the inverse of Smoke and Hope, with 4 smalls and a GIANT stop plate)
    2) GO to 5 (Same layout as 5 to Go, but inverted again, with (4) 18x24's, and a decent stop plate (4" dia round ? :scared:)

    3) OK, 3 stages... The ubiquitous Plate Rack. Special thanks to David P. for helping me flip the plates.

Noob question, I'm not familiar with Steel Challenge, but it peeks my interest.
    What would the format be?
Shoot the same stage's multiple times?
    Approximate round count?
Do I have to be a member?
I'd be in(possibly with a couple other noobs) if it's enough shooting to warrant a 2hr 30min drive.

Here are some quick answers to your specific questions ::
5 Bays, each one has a different stage. Each stage is shot 5 times, best 4 count.
Minimum round count is 125. I use about 150. Some shooters use 300. Depends on how much you miss...
No need to be an ACC or SCSA member, but ACC members get a 5 dollar discount.

A couple more tidbits here :: Atlanta Conservation Club
You have to click on the match, then highlight down to see the whole thing. I would have pasted it here, but I couldn't copy it.
Main thing -- COLD RANGE. Don't "gun up" in your vehicle, wait till the first stage... under RO instruction.

How close are you to Sellersburg ? Silver Creek CC has SCSA matches, too, I think.

I've become familiar with all of the safety rules and regulations over the last few months after joining USPSA, just haven't been to a Steel Challenge. I don't believe we have any around up here(Ft. Wayne).
