Range that allows .50 Cal

Are there any ranges in central Indiana that would allow a .50 cal Barrett?

My brother-in-law just picked one up and we're wanting to try it out.

Nope none in central indiana... Youngs long shot north of fort wayne is the closest that i know of. Better be reloading for that sucker...

Riley Conservation Club has a 240 yard range and no rules against the .50. $70 per year.

ProTec. I believe its in Clay County. East of Terre Haute, and West of Brazil. Its a small range, but does have a 300 yard "lane".

Also, if Riley would allow it, thats one I would go for as well. Top notch range there!

I've shot a .50bmg there. He has no rules against it, as long as you're safe with it and put the rounds into the backstop.

My only beef with the ProTec range is that if there is an event planned, you don't get to shoot. Plus it gets crowded really fast. Other than that, not a bad place.

When there were events, they were always posted weeks in advance. With that said, I wouldn't expect to have this problem in the future.

Regardless, it is a pain if you have a limited amount of time to shoot, especially if you have to drive out to see if it's available.
