    Q5 MATCH - Walther Arms

Could be a nice setup for Carry Optics.
Jake Martens has secured a loaner Q5 and some ammo and a holster for it. We are working together to write up a review for Front Sight Magazine. Testing started tonight. In the next two weeks I hope to have the testing done and the article written and have some video and pictures to go with it. I fired the gun tonight for the first time from the holster doing some demonstrations for my carry league and shot a couple of drills. First impression is that it is a good gun. More to follow. I shot two Mozambique drills and two casino drills with it tonight.

Jake and I are working on the review of the Q5. Here are some pictures. Hope to have it in the May/June issue of Front Sight.

I have a PPQ for my carry gun and recently picked up a Q5 for range fun. I really like both of them.
I shot my first match of any kind (Friday Night Steel at Marion Co F&G) a couple weeks ago with the Q5 and placed 10th in Limited, I have to give a lot of credit to the gun for making it easier on me! I picked up a Vortex Viper and am planning on trying Carry Optics next time, hopefully I can shave 5-10 seconds from my time.
They have both been very reliable and easy to shoot well, I'm a big fan

I'm pretty sure USPSA is the next step for me! I'm going to hit FNS tomorrow and possibly the two gun in Batesville on Sunday.
FNS was a lot of fun and I met some pretty nice guys and gals, I'm sure that is the norm rather than the exception.

I ran a couple of mags through Jake's gun today. Very impressed with the accuracy and ergonomics. My concern would be the grip being a bit small for my hand. I could foresee pinched palms on a reload for me. It would be a great gun for those of you with little hands. Otherwise at 16 yards, never firing one before, I was impressed with my two 10 shot groups (no photos)

'THe Donald' and I have big hands. "There are no problems I.guarantee you"

I picked up this gun last Tuesday and headed to Arkansas. On Thursday I ran 300 or so rounds through it with zero issue.
I adjusted the sights, like one click up and one click right.
Shot the Arkansas Section match and had no problems with reloads.

Right now you can get the PPQ M2 5inch and it has a $100 rebate, it doesn't have the removable plate for Optics like the Q5

During my visit to Fort Smith Arkansas the Walther guys invited me over to the Walther USA HQ.
It is 90% Uramex the pellet and air soft company dist center with a very large and secured area for firearms that we were not allowed into.
I spent 25 years in big box retail prior to my current job and have been in Sears, Best Buy, Circuit City and Dick's Sporting goods dist centers..Walthers is pretty amazing.
There is also a double lane 50 yard indoor bays, function fire rooms, in house media and production studios, customer service support, warranty/repair areas and of course the office areas.
There is areas that are set up for a ton of expansion and growth to start manufacturing firearms at that facility.
Currently all the firearms are manufactured in Germany, but the export laws limit where they can be sold. Adding US manufacturing will expand its market share.
There are only about 100 employees here in the US and about 600 in Germany.

Also I am not being a big fan boy of Walther because I go anything free from them, the Q5 that Coach bought and then I bought one we purchased directly from Walther, at a discount, about $150 off what you can find them for online.
I also purchased the PPQ M2 4inch to carry.

Something that I didn't realize until meeting with them but because of their air soft line they can take a shooter from air soft to .22 to center fire all with the same style of handgun.
