MCF&G has been sanctioned by the ITA / ATA to start throwing registered targets. We plan to start with ATA Big 50s on Thursday evenings beginning September 7th (Which starts the 2018 ATA target year.) ATA rules will apply. We will need to have at least three shooters per discipline to register targets in that discipline. Big 50 events allows shooters to register 50 Singles, and/or 50 Handicap, and/or 25 pair of Doubles. The beauty of the Big 50 program is we can have mixed squads consisting of shooters who want to register targets and shooters who just want to practice. The ATA and ITA daily fees for Big 50s is half of a regular registered shoot, $2.50 for the day. Except for having a scorekeeper an observer would not know there is any difference than any other Thursday night at MCF&G. We hope that adding the Big 50 program and maybe future "regular" registered shoots will draw more shooters to MCF&G and more people into shooting in general.
