MCFG Indy Range - Friday Night Steel

• Allowed Cal. 32, 38, 9, 40 or 45 (357, 41 and 44, loaded to non mag loads), so no mag rds allowed, 22lr pistol or rifle
• recommend 5 mags, or speed loaders, we shoot 3 string per stage so 3 mags is the min if you don't miss
• Pistol Cal Carbine allowed for Cal above
• 150 rds of ammo recommended.

Yes, it is allowed. No slugs I think for FNS.

I certainly don't want to discourage, but most stages are 5-6 shots. That could make for a long night of reloading....

The link is for approved cartridges for the range and not FNS, that said shotguns are allowed, birdshot only. Shotguns are provisional and we had few shooters but they move onto cartridges, beside reloading some stages have penalty plates and it's hard not to hit the penalty plates with a shotgun.

I want to watch the shotgunner! I keep toying with the idea of trying FNS with a shotgun but have been to chicken to take the beating of that many rounds that fast.

Unless you reload using bulk pack shells will not be fun.
