Results are up on the RCC website. Riley Conservation Club | Indiana Shooting Range | Terre Haute Indiana Long Range Rifle

I'm not good at the copy/paste thing, be prepared to navigate a bit thru "Match Results", "22 Long Range Rifle" and click on the Mar 17 date.

Thanks to all who came, we had a great time despite the weather. Several INGO shooters were there, hope they'll chime in.

    Hahaha!!!

    I truly enjoyed this:

Under the Highlights category, Nathan Scott showed his stuff by running the last 25 straight targets after a rough start.

    ...

Under the Lowlights category, Nathan Scott (yup, same guy) rough start was self inflicted, he confessed to starting off with a brain fart by turning his scope adjustment the wrong way and costing himself targets, thus demonstrating that even experienced competitors can screw up.

    lmao!!!

We will be providing Nate a study guide to help with his species identification.
Turkeys and Chickens look very similar.
In his defense, they are both birds.

I think the brain farts flowed downhill, dunno why they didn't get to Rich? Lilrat shot a wrong target as did I, along with an unnecessary delayed shot, after the buzzer.

    2. Cowardly or skittish

    3. A target in the game of silhouette shooting, usually fired at in groups of five.

    4. Not a duck

Already looking up scopes, just need to settle on one.

Glad you came out and gave it a whirl. As you experienced, the newly developed Novice class was designed for folks like you....want to shoot but not quite ready for the rigors of Standard course.

Many good options out there. Kyrsten (KJ) got a new Nikon? P-308. I helped her dial it in Thursday night before the match. It has a mix of hash marks, dots, and circles that made it easy to sight in at one distance and then use holdover for the rest. Hawke also makes some good models, as does Vortex. Scopes designed to run the turrets are nice but you can get lost when adjusting more than one revolution and they are a bit more costly.

Looking forward to seeing you April 21
