Here are the following dates for BFT Carry Gun Matches at the Riley Conservation Club.

    Saturday March 14, 2020
    Saturday May 23, 2020
    Saturday June 27, 2020
    Saturday July 25, 2020
    Saturday August 8, 2020
    Saturday September 12, 2020
    Saturday October 10, 2020

All of these matches will be held in Bay 7 of the Riley Conservation Club. These matches will be run as a hot range. Folks are expected to carry to the match and away from the match. Special circumstances may exist and I will work with the shooter in such cases. Each match will involve 9-12 stages or courses of fire. No stage will be larger than 18 rounds and most will be 12 rounds or less. There will be a number of different challenges presented. Each shooter will shoot through the match at once. The more magazines the shooter has pre-loaded the better. If the shooter has enough magazines they should be able to shoot the match in about 12 minutes. The biggest delay will be reloading magazines.

Shooter can sign up for specific time. They should arrive a little early to register and pay, and then they can shoot and leave. Shooter do not have to do any pasting for this match. Want to get in some quality trigger time and not use up an entire Saturday? This is the match for you.

There are Two divisions: Open = any gun with a flashlight, red dot optic, ported barrel.
Limited = anything other than the above.

There is no caliber restriction, or magazine limits.
Gun must be in a holster that points the muzzle of the gun toward the ground. No off body carry allowed. Pocket carry is fine if a holster is used that points the muzzle to the ground.

Cost will be $20 cash at the door. Rain outs will be posted here.
First shooter will be taken at 9 am unless other arrangements are made.
Match will run until 1 or 2 pm depending on demand.

Here is a little video showing the different shooting challenges that this match presents. I try to incorporate the moving target in each match. Where else can you get that type of shooting experience? The use of cover and concealment is often required. We sometimes utilize blind stages. Blind stages means that you do not get to see the target array before engaging it and you have to make shoot and no shoot decisions. Shooting on the move is also something that is used. Target distances will be close at times and some times some distance will be used. This is not USPSA or IDPA, but elements of both are present.
