THIS MONTH -- The July 2020 SCSA match will be a benefit match for the Purple Heart Project. ALL PROCEEDS from this match (and only this match) will go toward teaching a combat wounded veteran how to do woodworking with hand tools. This activity has proven to be very therapeutic for those with PTSD. A Canadian woodworker and teacher named Rob Cosman created and administers the program, and more information may be found at :: www.robcosman.com I am planning an AUCTION, a RAFFLE, and of course the match itself. Rob sends the veteran home with $3500 in tools, and a workbench built by the “Bench Brigade”. That $3500 mark is my (lofty) goal for this event. If you happen to have any guns, ammo, accessories, etc. that you would like to donate for the auction or raffle, or if you would like to make a monetary donation;

A Smith & Wesson M&P22 pistol will be RAFFLED off. .22LR with (2) 12-round magazines and box. (Also the manual, if I can find it.) Tickets will be available at the match for $5 each and 5 for $20. The winning ticket will be pulled right after tear-down.
2[SUP]nd[/SUP] gun just added -- Phoenix Arms -- Raven Model in 25ACP. (2) magazines, manual, box, and some ammo. Anonymous donor. Same ticket prices. You will be able to drop tickets into either/both “gun jars”, depending on what kind of odds you want.
3 knives will be auctioned after the match.
Certificates will be presented after the match to Division winners.
