    For everybody that has an old military rifle, come out to the FWRR in Harlan, IN on September 12th.
    Super nice range with electronic targets. The only requirement is that the ammo has to be supersonic out to 200 yards for the electronic targets to work. The M1 Carbine factory ammo should be 1250 FPS at that range, but some handloads may not be that fast. The target system by Silver Mountain Targets usually require a velocity of 1180 to 1200 FPS to activate the sensors.
    It is a super good time. The club even has loaner rifles if you want. I will bring out some extra shooting mats and an extra shooting jacket or two.
    You will really be impressed with the range facilities.

    Bump, come on out and shoot a Garand without having to buy one. If you shoot and do not normally compete, you get a certificate of participation. When you get that, it is one of the steps towards being able to purchase Garands and other merchandise from the CMP.

    <sigh>

    I'm already committed for that day, but I would be there otherwise.

    Is there some schedule of future events that might be available?
