I thought I'd drop this in here, not sure if it will get any traction, so I put a clickbait word in the Title. :)

Ran across this vid tonight just surfing the interwebz. Makes me wish I'd never sold my Warner Tool Company rear sight.

    Enjoy.

I shot at 1000 yrds last month for the first time. It was a great experience, and was grinning ear to ear the whole time! It was so cool when my first shot hit the target, yet alone a 9! I scored a 173-2x.
I wish I had started this 20 yrs. earlier.
We have a palma and Long Range match at the end of the month. I am building ammo for this now.
Check out the CIHPRS website for more information.

Shooting at 1,000 is a big deal. Waiting 3 seconds to see if your target goes down is like waiting an eternity. I shot with CIHPRS from the early 2,000s to a couple of years ago. They are a good bunch of guys and you will certainly improve your skills.

And be sure to relish in the time you are spending there on the firing line. NONE of your friends have shot a gun beyond 100 yds, or even 500 yds. It's an exclusive club to be in.

Yep, we are on range #5 for 800, 900, & 1000. I always try to take a photo at 600 yrds of a new range that I shoot on. I was so excited about shooting at 1000 I forgot to take a photo.
It is a small group of individuals that actually shoot at these distances, I am proud to be a citizen of a country that allows and actually encourages us to do these things.
