That is a great, positive news segment. How far away is the target? My old eyes couldn't see a 1/2mm center more than 5 yards away!!

The target is 10 meters away (around 33 feet). This sport is popular with the younger crowd, but a lot of us oldsters are doing it too. It is a great father/son/daughter or mother/son/daughter sport. Grandpa and the grand kids do it together too. Match rifle sights are concentric rings. I find that even with my old eyes, I don't need eye glasses to see the sights and target well. For under $350 a person can get a decent starter air rifle or air pistol. Pellets are priced pretty cheaply depending upon quality they run around $5.00-$12.00 per a tin of 500. One can set up a practice range in the basement, garage or backyard. It is a good excuse to get out of the house in the winter months.
