I have 3 samples of a "operator" style helmet I've sourced from overseas. These are similar to the "Fast" helmets with slight variations. These are true, polyaramid, Kevlar Level IIIA helmets. They are not NIJ certified; however, I'm going to do a video of us shooting it with a 9mm, 45acp, 357, and 44 mag to show that they are in fact bullet proof to the claimed level. These have aluminum rhino mounts, rail mounting system, adjustable, interchangeable pads, suede chin strap, accessories, storage bag, and instructions.

3 paint schemes available: Black, Tan, and Multi-Cam

I've got to buy in quantities of 25 to cover the air freight, duties

    Breakdown would be:

    25 - $440
    50 - $420
    100-$395
    $150-$375

To secure your spot though, I will be taking deposits as I will have potentially $58,000 on the line if we get 150 in line.

This all spawned from a group of us wanting these, but not wanting to pay the $1000 for a true FAST helmet. Planning to shoot one of these this weekend and I will upload a video.

I will say "I want one" conditionally. Condition is final price and timing of the payment.
If those things work out properly for my budget I definitely want one. I've priced these and this is a good deal.

I'm pretty easy on color but preferred color is TAN with camo then black as my ranking. I would take whatever one wins though.

We have 4, people in right now. I'm only leaving this open for another 2 weeks. Timeframe is only 2 weeks after we order as we are paying for air freight. Final payment is due at pickup and a deposit of $100 is required to get you on the list to keep people from backing out or no show. Deposits are non refundable because I'm out the money whether they come up with the rest or not.

OK, I am down for ONE(1) TAN Helmet. Thanks!

The worst price on this deal is $440! That is less than HALF what these usually run so if you are wanting a good deal on this sort of thing, Jump.

I am a little amazed that people who are of a sort to want this kind of item aren't signing up for this one. Such folks surely have shopped around for these and found the least favorable price of this group buy is half the regular price. All I want is one of them and it would be nice to get it as inexpensively as possible, in fact if this buy doesn't fly I can't afford one.

I guess that's all I have to say. :twocents:

I don't have any friends here, maybe a few back in IL. Seems Terre Haute isn't that friendly in general. Lived her for 6 years now and let's face it, it's the only place I have done this without meeting at least one person to call friend. I do have one here but he's already a member so he obviously isn't interested.

I am definitely down for one TAN helmet though. I can and will send the deposit when you ask for it too. If we can't make this fly then I will simply do without. I guess the kevlar helmet my friend gave me after returning from his tour will be good enough. It's not supposed to give protection to more than shrapnel though...

    Same boat as you warthog....
so have you put yourself "IN"? If it fails then nothing lost but the list has to be there or it is dead already. (not trying to pick on you or anything, OK?) :)

I do get the whole idea of not wanting to buy China. I don't like it either but frankly when USA made items like this become less expensive so I can afford them then I will stop using Chinese goods. Trouble is it's getting hard to find non-foreign made goods here. We've all but stopped making things here. What is made here is not able to compete with dollar a day foreign workers. This isn't an easy thing to change either. The economy is in the crapper and most folks haven't got the extra to keep the money at home. I do my best to do so though.

If you want to find an excuse not to get into the buy, it's easy enough to do. When it fails though, I wonder how many who still want one will not be able to afford the $1K+ regular price tag? That would be me for sure. Group buys here seem hard to make work.
