The date changed to 27th of March. I asked the Mods to change the date in the title, I don't want anyone showing up on the wrong date and getting pissed .. :)

    Thank you Mods ...

I was there Tuesday and the main line looks great. The concrete has not been poured for the new trap station, but it is progressing nicely. Can't wait to shoot there.

I stopped by on Monday; paid my dues and I took a few pictures of the new main range:

    Looks great!
What's the new pad in front of the firing line for? Trap shooting?

Yep...I was there yesterday, and they didn't have the yardage lines painted yet, but hopefully it will look just like Middletown's setup.

The new baffles are awesome. Just what the range has needed, for many years, to help protect from rounds getting out. They look substantial.

Was this the reasoning behind not stacking dirt behind the traphouses? Just let the blocks absorb it, rather than the piled dirt deflecting it into Speedway? (I'm betting at least one of them has at least one round plastered on the back of it by Mother's Day...:ar15:).

The strip of translucent material overhead is a nice touch, too. It lets some light into what used to be a very dark firing line.

    Well done, crew.

There were holes out in the range for junior league to setup targets/shoot rifle. Not really OVER the trap house, but targets were typically setup alongside the trap house (roughly). Hence my asking about the concrete pad. Mayhap they will skoot those shooters forward now? Quite possible, since the range is closed during their practice. :dunno:

I have stopped by the last two mornings on my way to the shop. I used the pit to test a few handguns and didn't really know the rifle range was open yet until I heard someone shooting out there. I'll be taking some of my CZ rifles out there soon! Nice job on the range guys!:yesway:

It would be nice if this information was posted on MCFG's website.

It would be nice if any current and decipherable information was posted on MCFG's website...

On a side note, is anyone else really struggling to hit the "aeria clays" with slugs? I wonder where all these slugs are landing.

No shotgun shooting, using shot of any size, allowed on the main range, shooting aeria clay is allowed. Use of the 25 yard frames from the seated position on the South Range is not allowed.
