    Holdouts Revisiting NRA Membership?

Just wondering if current events have influenced folks to join the NRA?

Seems as though the Dems/Media/Anti's are terribly bold in their open hatred for the NRA. Does this encourage anyone with mixed feelings to consider joining?

My membership will be due up again soon. I have been on the fence about it. This does put it in a new light.

When the NRA backed mitt Romney the assault weapons ban gov they lost me. Also dissent they agree with the full auto ban? There are more ideologically consistent gun right programs to donate too.

I finished my lifetime last month, like them or not they're the main voice for us that matters. We should always be calling our local representatives with issues but the NRA is what channels the power. IMO

The NRA is not perfect and I'm ok with that. The good they do FAR outweighs some of their other positions.
I will be renewing when the time comes.

Think of it along the lines of holding your nose and voting for Trump. Not my first, second or third choice but far better than Bernie or Hillary.

I am not donating money every time the NRA begs me for money but the clout they get being able to count me as member #5,000,001 helps them give me a voice I would not otherwise have.

Regardless of your politics: If you are hesitant or undecided- twice a year Cabelas has a NRA weekend. Join NRA for $35 or $30 and get a cabelas gift card for $25. Net cost is only $10 or $5 a year! "American Rifleman" or "American Hunter" magazine have great articles once a month. NRA also makes it easy to send emails to your congressman or senators on issues that matter to gunowners. I am paid ahead until 2020 and each year I watch for these "NRA weekend membership events". Of course you can join on line today and then watch and extended your membership at the next event.

You guys know the NRA is under new leadership, right? Some family member from the Brownells website, I forget his first name. Tim from Military Arms Channel has been harping his name for the NRA lately.

I'm a life member, I donated a PU truck last year...I don't think they're perfect by a far stretch for many reasons but they are a damn site better than the opposition. I could list the things about them that torque me off...but then again they are generally on my side so it's counterproductive.

NRA President is Pete R. Brownell. Brownells has been in business for 78 years. Wayne LaPierre is Executive Vice President. NRA's leadership is very stable and strong. Much of the push to get rifle season for deer in Indiana goes to the NRA's support. Sen. Todd Young defeated Evan Bayh with some strong support from the NRA. It's worth supporting the NRA.

Keith Olbermann Labels NRA a ‘Terrorist Organization’ (Video)

That alone makes it worthwhile to support them.

As alluded to above, I don't always agree with some of the cockamamie ideas they've backed in the past, but the very thought of HRC as president was enough to motivate me to shell out for a lifetime membership. Telling my friendly neighborhood libs to "suck this" as I made the payment was a delicious little bonus.

Yeah, I sent all my liberal friends the link to the Join the NRA page so they could choose to fight the good fight if they so desired.

Olbermann is a liberal, know nothing, snowflake, half wit, knee jerk liberal hypocrite twit. Guaranteed he travels with armed security just like the rest of the liberal hypocrites who want to disarm law abiding citizens. If only him and the rest of his ilk can fall into a deep dark rabbit hole and never be seen or heard from again.
