I'm looing for an all metal single stack in 9mm. I have large ands and as of now I'm taking a serious look at a S&W 3913 or maybe a Sig 239. Are there others I should consider? Thank you.

You don't say what your intended use is?

If you find the grip on the 3913 too small; you could consider the 59xx Smith's. 12 round double stack. The 3913 is tough to beat.

Smith also made a CS9 - harder to find though. If you find two - I'll take one.

The P239 never had that "just right" feel for me but that's a personal preference. Big fan of the P938 - great CCW.

I would put a CZ RAMI on the list if you don't mind a heavy pistol.

Or if he could find a 3906.

Just curious, why specifically single stack? Is it just for concealability that you are looking for single stack (to have a somewhat flat profile)?

My apologies, I should have been a little clearer. This is a carry gun for dress clothes. I have a Kahr K9 and it is almost too small so I'm looking for something a little bigger. I have a S&W 459 and the grip is good, but looking for something of the same length in grip while retaining the slim grip. Also not a 1911 style pistol fan.

    walther PPS, XDS 9mm 3.3 or 4.0,
    S&W shield, glock 43

Of the group, I think the Shield is the best bang for the buck (value wise), and Walther or XDS for overall shootability

If you are looking at SIG's, also consider the P225a1. I find the grip on it more comfortable than the P239

This, although I prefer the original non-a1. That said, magazines are not compatible and are getting harder to find (read: $$$ for good ones) for the P225

ETA:Late to the party. Didn't read whole thread
