It's here, 13 is tracking the first radar indicated tornado of the night near Attica and Shawnee, headed towards south Lafayette and Purdue.

Temperatures are still rising here in Indy... it's going to be a long evening for the weather people.

Be prepared and stay safe this year. :ingo:

Lafayette had a pretty good little rain squall about an hour ago, but it appears the worst may have passed us by.

Having been the stupid hillbilly out drinking a beer and watching the tornado, I really don't want to see another one. They do make a very unique sound.

I did that once, never saw the tornado. It was in the high 70s and the sun was shining, fairly nice out.

The tornado was hitting about 3 miles north......couldn't tell one bit just thought the weather stations were freaking out over nothing

The last time we had one close by here, I was outside keeping an eye on things. The boy decided to come out and stand with pops even though his mother was yelling for him to get his ass to the basement. About half of the big hickory in the yard blew down and came pretty close to us... he headed for the house pretty quick then.

    Could be anywhere
If you're near a wind farm good luck. The spinning blades produce a J-hood signature just like a birthing tornado. They have to desensitize the NEXRAD radars to ignore the pointless pinwheels of government subsidy so you'll never see it coming.
