    On 06 May 2019 the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care added a few more models of tourniquets to the recommended list. Previously, since 2004, they recommended only the CAT and the SOFTT-Wide. Now there are a total of eight (some of which are different generations or colors of the same basic TQ).

    Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT) Gen 7

    Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT) Gen 6

    NSN: Use of CAT Generation 6 is acceptable until life-cycle replacements to gen 7.
