Heating when there is no electricity

Other than a wood stove, which is obvious. What are some other good thoughts?

I have a Mr Heater Big Buddy and adapter hose and filter for big LP tanks. Half a dozen tanks to refill.

Also 10 gallons of K1 and a couple of heaters.

A small genny to run the gas furnace, if necessary.

Amazon. That is where I found mine.

Pick up a CO sensor while you are at it. EDIT Battery powered since you cant plug it in during an outage. (dying due to carbon monoxide poisoning would be bad)

We have a propane 40K BTU heater with a battery powered blower on it. And a gas log fireplace that does not require power.

Also have 3 Catalytic propane camping heaters that will do a bedroom pretty well.

But the real deal is a Genny. And a way too run the furnace. If the gas supply is still available.

And wood. We have that option as well.

I have electrical panel set up so I can run off a generator if necessary. It's not the whole house systems, but in 5 min I can get power going again. I have a gas furnace but I need electricity to run the blower.

Well no gen set available, so that kinda throws a wrench in it.

Money, just like with everyone else is tight. But what if a solar flare or emp happens, will electric stuff snd gen set be rendered useless?
