6 months ago, I was a "kook" or "that crazy prepper guy". Now, I'm a bloody genus! People are asking me for advice daily. I just tell them to buy what they normally do, but 3 times the amount if they can find it. And make it as non perishable as possible. One guy asked me why I would buy so much food and I told him because I like to eat. Then he said , "Well , you can't eat guns or ammo." I told him I needed those to protect my food. No more questions. :0)

And the light switch goes up in midget minds head and a bulb goes bright.

The MSM has beat us back into a corner (gun owners/preppers) for so long even those who agree with the 2A question our mind set.

Now that they see how utterly alone they are when Gov. steps back it is pretty hilarious to watch.

I’ve never had any interest is sharing my readiness status with anyone but immediate family. That seems counterproductive to me. As for acquaintances, they can laugh all they want. I need no affirmation.

When this is over, it begs the question...how fast will the light bulb dim in the mind of the sheeple?

Very few that kept no extra provisions on hand will change their behavior 6 months after things go back to normal. Many are those which live above their means, counting on inheritance or .gov for their retirement.

During the foreclosure "crisis" there were a lot of things at play. Lots of different situations but I saw primarily 2 different types. Those where bad things happened to good people (the minority) & those who had a history & pattern of bad choices. Foreclosures which were full of empty "toy" boxes, big screen tv's, video game consoles, etc.

I had a conversation with an asset manager which relayed a conversation he had with someone that they were trying to get back on track to keep her out of foreclosure. After reviewing her income & expenses, if she just cancelled her cable bill she would be able to keep food on the table & all the bills paid. She stated that "she can't cut her kids tv off". He stated something to the effect, that is when he realized that he really couldn't help people that didn't want to change their behavior.

Summary, some will learn from their mistakes/lack of preparedness but most won't. They will think this is the last crisis that will occur & everything will be bliss from now on.

Some liberal whiner at work found the box of Flu mask(*) I had in the office supply closet. “We should be donating those to a hospital”. Sorry lady, those are to protect our employees when we open our business back up and try to make enough money to keep everyone employed. They are now hidden in a locked room to prevent “donation”.

The failure of hospitals to prioritize patient care and employee protection over profits is not my fault. Pinching pennies with low supply inventories and just in time shipping is biting them in the butt.

(*) Bought this box of mask for the predicted Bird Flu pandemic that never happened.

I thought Obama outlawed the good light bulbs. I hate the new ones, they are too dim.

Stay frosty folks, it's the end of the month.
A significant percentage of the populous will be getting their last paycheck for quite a while, and it's likely not as large as usual.

April is going to be a tough month for millions of Americans.
There have already been some mentions in threads witnessing struggles paying for groceries.

If you're able & willing to help others, please do what you can to keep the boat upright. DO NOT forget OpSec while doing so.
Wildlife knows to return and look for more. Desperate wildlife should not be underestimated.

I learned a long time ago that if you feed someone that can't fish, they will steal your food when they get hungry.

Stockpiles not being used is inefficient. We can't ***** about inefficiencies in the bad times when we laud it as the goal in good times. Same reason we have regulations for how much assets a lending institution needs to hold to cover a certain amount of debt. So we either accept that unregulated capitalism will have this affect, that the boom/bust cycle will apply to lives as well as cash, or we regulate to force some long term planning to override the short term goals. I'll standby as cries of socialism erupt, but some can figure out the difference between regulation and socialism and why, while folks can disagree on where the line is drawn, it's foolish to not draw a line at all.

I've discovered a way to send coded messages that apparently cannot be deciphered.

    Pencil, paper, cursive script.

Drives millennial SJW's nuts trying to figure it out.

Or the thousands and thousands of pages written by the founding fathers themselves explaining, in detail, what it actually says.

The problem started long before the youngin's came around though...
