So after multiple weeks of avoiding the grocery store, my wife and I ventured out to do some hunting and gathering. At walmart on the end of the aisle they had heaters on clearance. I snagged a Dura-glo 23,000 kerosene heater for $64. Only one left at New Castles store. But I figured I might mention it to others so they can check their local walmarts.

FWIW, I tried to sell 2 good used Kerosene heaters, with spare wicks, during the polar vortex and didn't even get a single bite on them. I had them posted for weeks leading up to, and weeks after, one of the coldest winters on record and I wasn't even asked to give them away. This was on CL, not INGO.

If you want a new one, that seems like a great deal, but from what I can see used ones are pretty much valueless. So... If you're deal hunting, keep that in mind too.

I've been using one of those round 23k models for ancillary heat for a couple of months off and on. Had it gone through at the little place in Saratoga that works on them a couple of years ago. I'll check it out. Thanks. They're nowhere near as clean as one of the old Toyostoves, but they'll do in a pinch.
