We have recently revamped our Basic Defensive Handgun class, as well as the days/times we are offering it. Take a look!
BASIC DEFENSIVE HANDGUN
This class addresses the basic skills and information required to use a handgun safely and effectively as a self-defense tool, along with some of the issues involved in using a firearm for self-defense. It is appropriate for those with limited or no experience with handguns in a defensive role. This class is approximately 60% classroom and 40% range time. It is nominally 4 hours in length, but may run up to 4-1/2 hours depending on class size and student questions. The class covers safety, basic marksmanship, slow and rapid fire, loading/reloading/unloading, and clearing basic malfunctions. You may use your own firearm, or borrow one from us at no additional charge.
The course fee of $129.95 per student includes all of the following:
• Course handbook
• Eye and ear protection
• Use of handgun from Indy Arms' rental wall if necessary
• 50 rounds of .22LR ammunition
• 120 rounds of centerfire ammunition (.380, .38Spl, 9mm, .40SW or .45ACP)
• 6 targets
• Certificate of completion
This class is taught by Tony Gregory, our Senior Trainer, and will be presented on the following days and times in May and June:
1st Monday (May 1, June 5) 5:30PM
4th Saturday (May 27, June 24) at 5:30PM
