Pay It Forward Now Camp Atterbury Pistol Event (Sept. 30, 2017)

Pass It On-Outdoor Mentors will again be sponsoring an opportunity to shoot at Camp Atterbury's "Pop-Up Target" Pistol Range (range 15). This is a unique range that has computerized pop-up targets that can be programmed to raise/lower in a myriad of sequences and with varying degrees of difficulty for the shooter. This range is not normally accessible to the general public and is used for US Army as well as Special Forces training.

There are 13 afternoon session spots remaining (all the youth tickets have been claimed).

This is your opportunity to practice your pistol marksmanship at a range which (to my knowledge, anyway) no other organization gives you access: the "Combat Pistol Qualification" range #15 at Camp Atterbury. This is NOT the public shooting range at Camp Atterbury and you can only shoot at this range via approved access such as this event. This is where the Army conducts it's pistol qualifications.

The range has "pop-up" silhouette targets that are computer controlled and scored. Center of Mass (COM) hits cause the target to fall and are distinguished from other target hits which are also recorded but do not cause the target to fall. You will get a computer printout of your shooting scores at the end of the day.

Still undecided? Go anyway just so you can say you shot at the same range used by Special Forces at Camp Atterbury and that you helped Pay It Forward Now get more youth into the outdoors (this event helps financially support PIFN's other activities). You won't be disappointed.
