With the happening in Las Vegas today, I am getting off my butt and getting some more medical training. I was a licensed Wilderness First Responder for years, but my certification has lapsed.

Anyone know any good places around Indy to get first responder medical training if I am a civilian?

A basic Red Cross class might be a good first step to get some training locally.

You might find some TCCC classes that will focus more on gun shot wounds but the things you will learn in a basic course (like CPR and using an AED) are just as important.

    What are TCCC classes?

My son is going to become an EMT after high school (and probably go into law enforcement in a few years). I am looking forward to him teaching me things...

At one time I was First Responder certified while I was a volunteer ff. While not currently certified it's not something you readily forget.
