Introduction to Handguns
This is a very popular three-hour class. This class is a Co-ed class for those who want to learn about pistols and to learn proper safety at the outset of their shooting journey. It does not matter if the new shooter wants to learn to carry a gun, have a gun for home defense or start a new hobby this class is the place to begin. Two hours of classroom time cover the following topics: safe gun handling, parts of the gun, sight alignment, trigger control, loading magazines, grip, stance, ammunition, suitable guns for self-defense.
After learning the basics, the class will move to the range and shoot .22 caliber pistols. We start with .22 caliber so that good trigger control can be practiced without excessive noise and recoil. The use of the pistol, ammo, target, eye and ear protection is all included in the price of the class. This is the best introductory class in the state.
