Some additional information on this event:

    • this will be held on the MILITARY side of Camp Atterbury on one of the two ranges used by the Army for M4 qualification at Camp Atterbury (i.e., the ONLY way you're going to be able to shoot on this range is with Revere's Riders at this event or by joining the Army/National Guard)
    • the targets are computer controlled and scored (targets are similar to IDPA style). Targets "pop up" randomly for a few seconds and must be hit either in the "kill" zone (target falls down) or in the "hit" zone (computer registers the hit, but target stays up until it "times out")
    • you will shoot "stages" where a sequence of targets "pop up" randomly under computer control and at distances from 50 to 300 yards.
    • print-outs of your score will be available (obviously, misses can't be recorded unless you track rounds fired on your own)
    • if you have been to the Revere's Riders event on the "pop up" pistol range at Camp Atterbury, this is very similar but for rifles.
    • this is .223/5.56 ONLY due to range restrictions.

According to one soldier we have talked with, when he shot his qualification he simply skipped the 300 yard targets in order to save rounds for the closer targets. In other words, hitting these targets is definitely non-trivial and you should be fairly experienced with your rifle or plan on being frustrated (we won't be doing any formal instruction at this event). Additionally, while we won't be limiting your rounds (blast away if you want to), feel free to really test your marksmanship by limiting yourself to one or two rounds per target.

This unique event will likely sell out quickly. Buy your ticket sooner rather than later...

Unfortunately, the US Army has informed us that the range is needed for official US Army use on our date ==> this event has been cancelled at this time. We are looking to re-book the range for an alternative date and will let everyone know as soon as the new date is set.

If you already purchased a ticket for this event, you should have received an email notice of the cancellation. You have two options:

    1. do nothing and your ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled date
    2. get a refund

We apologize for the inconvenience but hope that everyone understands that the US Army has priority use of the range.
