If you don't like reading then JUST BOOK THE CLASS.
I went through all this trouble to get all my gear together just for this class and forgot my 3rd mag lol! I survived though. By taking this class and having requirements I didnt want to be the guy to have improper or poor gear. So I went out and purchased my Kore Essentials Trakline belt, mag carrier, 4 magazines (still mad I left the 3rd mag at home), talon grips for my G23, and a AIWB kydex holster. It made my everyday setup much reliable and comfortable so that was a plus on it's own. Off the bat we got out and did a malfunction drill just for future instances where a person might have a malfunction he or she won't lose their cool and throw safety techniques out the window. I admit, I don't practice this at home so it was new to me but came easy. Tap, Rack, Bang. It's easier said then done while under pressure (even if it's just an instructor looking at you).
The problems that I addressed in this class was trigger control, looking at the sights rather than the target, and proper support hand (opposite of your trigger finger) grip . When fixing those problems next target hang up, my groups were WAY BETTER than my first target which was all low left and out of the square for the most part. Not to mention I shot with my right hand, which is what I'm more comfortable drawing out the holster, gripping, and every other daily task. I took another class where I shot with my left only because I'm left eye dominant. I did shoot well in that class; best group ever actually, but I didn't want to switch my whole setup because I shoot well with my left hand. It's just a plus.
Instructors were clear on what they wanted you to do and what they wanted to see, and that's why nobody really asked questions I believe. They kept asking, but the way they explained it's pretty much dummy proof on how they wanted you to have your grip, how your hands are supposed to go up with the gun while recoiling, sight picture, trigger control, drawing from the holster, and many more things. And that's what I need lol.
Time does move fast, and I do wish it was longer, would be the only negative.
