I just got home from a great class at MTAC in Muncie. Their “More than and Bandaid” class is a phenomenal introduction to trauma/battlefield medical care. I will definitely be signing up for level two.
WHat I really wanted to post about was their safer schools program though. They are providing scholarships to their training classes to public school employees. Apparently the application has been on their website for over a year, and I was the first one to ever apply. Crazy.
if you or someone you know works in a school, apply for a scholarship and get some excellent training. I learned so much today that will be directly applicable in the event of something bad happening in my classroom or school.
