I haven't used the original MantisX, but have come very close to ordering one lately.

Mantis X10 announced at Shot Show seems to have some new features that could track/record additional competition aspects beyond just trigger management in dry/live fire training e.g. holster draw from the beep, presentment, recoil management, etc.

X10 discussion starts at the 15 minute mark.

It seems that in order to track holster draw, it would likely have to be mounted to a mantis mag floor plate unless you have a holster compatible with rail mount devices.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

Dang. Of course I just bought the MantisX yesterday. That X10 looks pretty sweet. Wish I would have read this before I bought it.

Ss far, I love what I am seeing, but this new version seems to really take it to the next level.

So after seeing this post and doing some research online, I went ahead and returned my new Mantis X and ordered the new Mantis X10. They say "shipping in May" on the web site. We will see what they come back with an official ship date.
