    Three training programs offered at Martinsville Sportsmans Conservation Club

    The following programs are open to members and non-members alike with advance registration and payment:
    ================================================== ==================

    Bob Whaley will be presenting the following 2 day classes at the Martinsville Sportsmans Conservation Club this year:
    April 27-28 Pistol 1
    June 8-9 Carbine 1
    Sept 21-22 Pistol 2

    Bob is a nationally recognized firearms trainer of the highest quality. He is a 28 year veteran in law enforcement having retired as a Lieutenant with the St. Louis County (Mo) Police Department. His assignments included 15 years with the department’s Tactical Operations Unit (SWAT) during which he received training in a variety of Weapons Systems and Tactical Applications. Bob attended his first class at Gunsite in 1989 and began instructing there in 2005. He is a Certified Instructor in Pistol and Shotgun.

    If you do a Youtube search for “Bob Whaley shooting” you can view a number of short videos produced by the National Shooting Sports Foundation that feature Bob.

    The cost of the training is $200. That’s a remarkable value considering courses that Gunsite offers off site cost $1,090 for 3 days.

    A copy of each of the different class outlines is attached.

    Students will need to show by some means they are not prohibited from possessing/operating a firearm. They can show a current concealed carry endorsement from their state of residence, receipt from the purchase of a firearm within the last 12 months, a CDL, teacher/school official ID or a police record check as proof.
    Class size is 14 and slots are on a first come, first served basis. We cannot hold your spot until we receive your check.

    IF you’d like to participate, please send your check, payable to Sportsmans Conservation Club, in the amount of $200 to:

    So I take it from looking at the bio and curriculum that this is Gunsite material without being "Gunsite" material?

    Good take...Gunsite trainer outside of Gunsite facility. We've had him before and folks raved about the quality of training.

    If you're interested in their curriculum, $100 per day for a current Gunsite instructor freelancing is a bargain.
