    In these situations I will never understand the failure to properly engage. We see this a lot in the footage from Cop-Cams.

    Hands on/evasion is my first answer. Benchmade is the second.

    Admittedly, I'd be in trouble against a trained martial artist. Hopefully, my SA (paranoia) keeps me at distance to react appropriately.

    That takes skills and the mindset to use them. Not a common combination.
