Intro To Handgun, Offered Weekly
Greetings! Long time INGO Member and (former) MOD here. As one of the Certified Intro to Handgun Instructors at IndyArms, I wanted to share this here. If you know anyone that is Interested in learning how to shoot a handgun, or perhaps needs a refresher in the Basics, this is a great starting point. We offer these classes several times during the week, and on most weekends.
Introduction to Handgun is a basic course designed for people with little or no firearms experience. This course will provide a safe and enjoyable first exposure to handguns and shooting.
This class is divided into two sessions. The classroom session, lasting 60 to 75 minutes, allows students to practice the fundamentals of grip, stance, sight picture, and trigger control in a “dry handling” session. During the live-fire session, students will have the opportunity to fire up to 50 rounds of ammunition in order to build skill and competence. The course concludes with a wrap-up session in the classroom to review lessons learned and answer any questions that students may have.

Included:
- .22LR Handgun and 50 Rounds of 22LR Ammunition (if necessary); students are welcome to bring their own handgun and ammunition
- Personal Protection Equipment: Eye and Ear Rental
- Target
- Complete Liability Waiver prior to the start of class – Click Here
- Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class for check in
- This class is available for private parties and other group events
- Other handguns may be rented for $10.00 each; rental handguns must use ammunition purchased from Indy Arms
- Students under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult (ask about a youth discount for training classes)
- Students arriving more than 10 minutes after the designated start time may not be allowed into class and will need to reschedule
