    Greetings all!

I’m on the hunt for a heavy duty nylon book/bible cover, day planner or military field book cover. I’m intending to use it as a stout book cover for my son’s Boy Scout Handbook, hopefully one that will last him for the next seven years. I can get one of the BSA covers, but what’s the fun in that? Plus, they don’t zip all the way around. I figured some of our vets may have some of that PX stuff laying around in ACU that even Goodwill won’t take. Extra points for a Velcro spot for a name tape :)

Dimensions are 8.5” tall x 7” wide x 1” thick. Kind of wonky size, so nothing fits it perfectly besides the official BSA cover (and we’ve already covered that.)

    Thanks in advance!

As a former scout, I'm all for ingenuity...Perhaps he could find a way to pattern/sew, or modify an old GI field jacket for a cover. If he used a portion of the breast of the jacket, it would have a pocket and appropriate place for name tag. Easily reinforced with a rigid liner of just about any material. Just a thought.
