Daughter #2 (2yo) asked to shoot daughter #1's (5yo) Crickett the other night. Of course dad will oblige. Safety through and through for these girls. The oldest is beginning to show signs of discipline as I constantly harass her to tell me the "rules of the rifle". Accurate shots are not even considered, it's all about the basics at this point. Oh and pics because it makes me cheesey...

You sir are a good dad. Are those her cowgirl boots? My granddaughter just loves the pair I got her.
Thank you. Yes they are her "hunting boots". She goes squirrel hunting with me sans rifle. Lot to learn before she's ready to carry in the woods.

We have a pink and a Camo rifle just like that one for the G-daughters. I need to get them involved. It is time.
Never too early. I was raised the same way. They even have to clean their own pistols (capguns) with a toothbrush and qtips.

Cute story. Maybe when she is older she would even be a better shooter than you. Reminded by another thread here to get a colored gun so maybe if she's a little girly then get her a pink one (not today but when she's older)

    Near the big river.
Got my daughters started by executing the Halloween pumpkins when we were done with them. Used a 410 shotgun, they really liked the 12 gauge when I shot them.

Daughter #2 is very good with a Win Model 94 in 45 Colt I have. She could shoot it well from the start.

I have 3 daughters that i taught to handle a rifle and shoot when they were around 10 they all shot my AR (with a bipod) and did very well...unfortunately not one of them desired to keep shooting with dad but they still remember how to handle load and shoot :)
