I have weird thumbs so I had an issue with contols

Vickers tactical extended 3mm mag release
Aerotech extended slide release (My favorite change)
I use the Jentra plug, some guys disagree with using a plug saying that it holds debris and when you reholster all that junk goes back into the trigger system.
I just order Mepro Tru Dots with adj. Rear
Installing a Glock 3.5lb connector tonight.

I may change barrels at some point but for now it's fine.

In regards to the "grip plug",,,,,Mr Glock placed that hole there for a reason. It is to allow debris, water, sand and whatever else that may have happened to get inside the action a way to work itself out. And no, unless we are running around the sandbox, we are probably not likely to need it, but one of the reasons everyone loves glock is their legendary ruggedness and reliablity. If you are so concerned that in everyday civilian carry you are going to get dirt or lint in there, then you might want to reconsider your personal hygiene practices.

Thread Jack! So who has the best prices at the 1500 to do these? Night sights and extended slide release and maybe the trigger? Can they do those while your there waiting? Thanks

I don't recommend the extended slide release anymore, thumbs can hit it and lock the slide open while shooting.

Many who get the Glock 34/35 these replace it with a stock one.

I just see it as, it sits in my holster muzzle down with the butt facing 10 degrees up which would funnel rain and fod down that hole. Mr. Glock also placed a hole on that back strap I guess for looks. If a Glock will hold up under the sand mud torture test I'm sure it will function under .05 grains of debris resting on that plug.

    My 2 cents.

Not to mention that the actual opening into the action is incredibly small; I don't see how much of anything could move through it in either direction. I have been told that the cavity was an artifact left over from the frame molding process - which I would tend to believe, since some other polymer frame guns have it, and it is NOT open to the action on them.

Mr. Glock also placed a hole on that back strap I guess for looks.

It was designed as an attachment point for a lanyard.

In addition to the internal polishing Shooter mentioned early on, I also polish the face of the firing pin block safety, and the contact surface on the trigger bar that pushes it. On older Glocks, the face of the block was smooth, but still benefits from polishing. On the newer ones, the face has a "teat" in the center, making it look like a record (CD?). I sand with 400, 600, then polish with fine compound, in order to smooth it out. It takes a noticeable "bump" out of the trigger pull.

I'm ditching the extended (and de-horned, I do that to mine too)mag releases on my Glocks. I had it demonstrated to me how an extended safety is asking for a single-shot pistol. Being a lefty makes it even more likely. Should a situation occur in which there is some empty-hands fighting before the gun can be drawn, that mag release is very susceptible to being engaged, and quite possibly causing you to lose your mag.

I extend nothing, polish nothing but I do put a butt plug in it the kind with the punch to disassemble it. XS Big Dot sights, a good holster Bladetech IWB or KHolster IWB for me. Lots of ammo, 5 extra mags and go take a class or 2. You are never as good as you think you are.

I guess a few of us would disagree

Owners of other firearms don't need to get together in a club to tell each other how awesome they are. The world already knows.

Every Glock I've ever owned, and ever will own gets a good set of night sights, e.g. Heinie Straight-8s, an extended slide stop, grip plug, and a Ghost connector, along with a 25¢ trigger job. After that, just a good holster and plenty of ammo.

My Glock 20 did get a SS guide rod and a 22lbs recoil spring. The stocker is entirely underpowered for real 10mm ammo.
