FYI.. In OHIO is you are stopped by LEO you have to inform them if you have a firearm in the vehicle per this :http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/ohio.pdf
I don't think that requirement is in IL.
And if you're carrying in IL - well, brother, we wish you well. Not allowed. At all. If I'm heading to Illinois, I typically stop in the Cabela's parking lot to unload and lock up my M&P in the back.
Not fully true...

There is "limited CC" in IL. What I was saying in my other post is I'm not sure if there is a requirement to inform LEO if you are stopped in IL that you have firearms on you, in your car, etc. like it is REQUIRED in OH.
Jay, very interesting. Was that by the Illinois State Rifle and Pistol Association?
Good point, jediagh. However, the website goes on to tell you to carry a copy of the law along with your attorney's phone number ...and I'd still say it's a pretty gray area. At any rate, you'd need a FOID, which requires you be a resident of Illinois.
So is it ok to carry into Ohio as long as you have an IN permit?
