I guess since there's going to be two discussions, I will put them together in the general political discussion thread, just to be safe.

Just as I posted in the other Gadsden Plate Thread, I'm not giving them one more penny than I have to. We already pay to much for our registration in this state. Plus I don't want to make my car a target to certain groups of our population. I'd rather avoid issues if possible.

Does no one else see the irony of license plates with Gasden's Flag on it?

If you're paying money for the 'privilege' of driving, in addition to all the other asisine taxes we pay, you're already being pretty heavily treaded upon.

    +1

Might as well wear a red, white, & blue prison jumpsuit and paint the Gadsden that ball chained to your ankle.

The great part about this entire issue is, "Delph said some of his constituents asked for the plate so he introduced the bill." If there are enough people in Mike's district to bring this into existence, I applaud their effort. Some people can find ways to punch holes in everything, but never seem to find a way to make the system work in their favor.

I really hope this bill passes and we have more options, especially if there is not an additional fee. But, if there is, I could still support the effort and place one on my vehicle(s).

I can understand why some people might not like to place something like this on their cars. It would tick off some people. But, why did the people in colonies start displaying this symbol in the first place? It was to publicly show their anger and distress at an oppressive government who no longer listened to the people.(In a nutshell)

What if this passes the General Assembly and the Governor's desk? What if people start having these on their cars? What if such a public display by some Hoosiers causes others to realize that they are not alone in their distress? What if displaying this symbol in our communties encourages some "armchair" conservatives to get up, do some research, and find out some facts to support why they believe the way they do? Wouldn't it then be a worthwhile bill to support even if you don't plan on placing it on your car?

For me, I don't know how I feel about this bill. I am still making up my mind. I have a neighbor just to my south who is flying the NRA Gadsen flag. I have another neighbor to my north who is also flying the Gadsen flag. For the last two years, I have taken great comfort driving by and seeing those flags flying in the breeze. I can't place the Gadsen flag in my front yard yet because I don't want my home to be a target but I could see myself getting a Gadsen license plate to publicly show my support for pro-US Constitution principles. I don't know, just my two :twocents:

Thats great that he listened to some of his ...... cough, cough, campaign contributers, cough, cough. But instead of ****ing around and waisting time on stupid worthless **** like this on the house floor, why dont we start sticking it to the government who is sticking it to us and tell them to get the **** out of our state? states rights. then we can also reverse all of the stupid gun laws on our books that are unconstitutional even according to the state constitution. but no ..... mikey and his butt fairy friends would rather pass feel good bills that are absolutely worthless!

also worthless are the citizens who think that waving around a Gadsden flag is all you need to do to be a true American Patriot! wake up people and start DEMANDING that your elected officials do what is constitutionaly right. When I start waving the gadsden flag for real, it will be too late for all the niceties.

and what has them flying the gadsden flag for the last 2 years done???? absolutely nothing. flying a flag wont do ****. letters, emails, and phone calls will. then when its election time again, voting out everyone who has ever held public office or didnt listen to the will of the people by upholding the constitution and sending constitutional candidates to work!! that WILL do something good! you can bank on it.!

Im so sick of this ****! I think im gonna run for public office and get you people fired up to do the right thing.

In other news, Illinois is proposing a license plate that reads (on top), "From each according to his abilities", (on bottom), "To each according to his need".

Consider the above purple text for those that a sarcastically challenged.

See, you are already politician material... doing what the people ask. I would suggest something to get your name out there for a while. Try starting with a school board. You don't have to spend as much money and you can start developing a local base.

FYI, I'm not voting for you if you don't have a Gadsden flag plate on your car.

people will continue to convince themselves that theyre free and freedom will continue getting diluded

id like to see everyone take the plates off their cars... that would shut the cops down cold

i would lose votes if I was on the school board because I would actually fire the teachers who suck.
