there are a few that I see pretty regularly by my house, actually saw one today on the way home from work. I have looked for a nest but haven't been able to find one yet.

I have a picture of a Bald Eagle in my profile I watched him play in that water hole for about 1/2 hour I see these every time I visit my mom in Southern Illinois. There are 4 mating pairs on the lake by her and you would not believe the nest they build in the cypress tree it is a beautiful sight.I have more pictures of them.

My wife and I have seen 4 outside of town by the creek. We have been to the Cayuga power plant several years now to their Eagle days to tour the plant and see the Eagles down by the Wabash. Pretty cool.

Southwestway park in Indy. If you hop in a canoe around that area and ride down south of the 144 boat ramp you'll have a great op to see many. I was told "said" area is a designated re-establishment area. Pretty neat!

My father and I have seen several in Noblesville this year. I personally seen one recently flying over the white river at the 146th street bridge. We have both seen them flying around the gravel pits just North of 146th. I also saw one about two weeks ago on S.R. 46 by the northeren entrance to Brown Co. State park.

I am from down in Columbus. It is something i still become excited about, just an awesome sight i believe, but it is not uncommon. There is a place on a local river where they have nested for the past 8 years or so that i know about. But i am happy that you could experience it. it is a truly amazing thing. Hats off to the Indiana conservation efforts. God bless America. :patriot:

My buddies and I have been spotting them on somewhat of a regular basis up and down white river in the Waverly area. Love to see their numbers are really coming back!!!!!

I was driving home from work a couple of weeks ago. Was driving East on 144 crossing the White River Bridge. Just happened to look over the trees on the North side of the bridge and saw a Bald Eagle flying along the river. I almost drove off the road. That was the first time I had seen one in the wild. I heard that people have been spotting them along 70 around Plainfield.

One of the most breathe taking moments of my life was watching Challenger fly over the flag during the National Anthem. I've gotten to see it twice. Once at the University of Kansas and once at the RCA Dome. It was awesome.

I just wanted to update this thread......

I was working yesterday, (2-14) driving east on Olive Branch road, almost where it tee's into 37. We look up, maybe 20 ft up right at the edge of the road, and theres a Bald Eagle sitting on a branch, eating a squirel!!! We slowed down to look, but could hardly believe our eyes. Went down and turned around, came back to try to get a cell ph pic. We were only able to watch him eat a bite and then he got nervous and took off. (The pic didn't come out:rolleyes:)

Pretty sweet to witness nature right in our own backyard

One lives by White River and the old Conservation Club Lake (Lilly Lake) by Harding and Raymond. You can find a "bird watcher" Internet page that lists all local sitings. I have also seen them in Hancock and Morgan counties.

I've seen a few up here in NWI at Willow Slough. I try to make it to Starved Rock in January every year to watch them. I've seen 35 or 40 of them all gathered in the trees on Plum Island or fishing the river.
