I have been told my owb "airsoft holster" isnt professional enough. Im trying to do some research on a good quality BUT still affordable OWB holster.

I have a glock 19. I want it to be leather, most ive seen are around $140 though and that just seems a bit ridiculous to me. Id like to stay under the $100 range if I could.

btw: I have a crossbreed as my IWB so this is strictly owb please.

    Thank you!

Def +1 on the raven. The wait is kinda long, but WELL WORTH IT. Plus if you wanted one for the Glock with a light attached Raven is pretty much the best Light Compatible holster too.
They are site supporters, and are at the 1500 every time. You can get one made at the 1500 but you usually have to wait a little while.

I do not have that specific Galco holster that you posted, but I do own a galco holster and I like it. I got some Galco Holster lube to break it in and it was nice. My problem was it was IWB and only had one loop to hold it in place so it canted too easy for me.

I just re-read the first post. "I want it to be leather"... Opps.
I have a Safriland OWB that I used before this one. Padel type w/ a belt hook for retention. It saw alot of use and held up ok. In the end the leather started spliting apart on the padel area. One of the mian reasons I switched to Kydex.
    Good luck on your search!!!

When I do use Leather to carry , I use Galco or High Noon. I have been very happy with both of those companies offerings. If you are looking for cheap try a Tagua, Leather made in south America , a friend has one and likes it a lot. They are very well made.

    Raven Phantom, period.

Its odd that I will disagree with Jahred, buuuutttt,

Fricke, OWB Gideon Elite, Period.Suarez International Gideon Elite Holster (OWB (Outside the Waistband)

The one thing you won't like about that is that it is named after a Biblical character.

Since you specify leather (to each his own), when I was still using leather, I liked the Galco stuff real well. Also, as one other poster said, the Don Hume stuff is very good for the money.

BTW, there would most likely be no wait on the Fricke holster.

My favorite is High Noon, but it is a very subjective decision. The only way to know what you prefer is to try some out.

The road to holster nirvana is paved with wasted money.

I've never waited, nor will I ever wait that long for a Raven. I either scoop them up used or get in line at the 1500.

Cedar, I'll let this one slide. If you're willing to provide a sample for me to evaluate, I'd be happy to chime in my opinions on it as well.

Why wouldnt I like it? I carry with a crossbreed lol. You dont have to be religious to carry a brand name.

    Thanks for the info!!

    Question to everyone...

My dad has a galco, it rides REALLY high IMHO. I love where the paddle holster puts my gun. Is there a leather holster that puts it lower like that?

I found this and it seems to be the best of both worlds, leather, strap to prevent grabs, but also a lower ride paddle... however its still a paddle...

I prefer level II retention for a motorcycle, so that thumb break one you posted last may be good.

Safariland has some nice leather paddle holsters.

My thoughts exactly. Id feel safe carrying and riding with a regular holster, but I would feel REALLY safe knowing its strapped in.

    Thanks for the help.
