your favorite 45

over the years i have seen hundreds of different guns that shoot 45 in my opinion i like the 1911 govt. model style what is yours

This. Purchased from DCM (CMP now) in 1962 for $25.00. Ithica slide on a Colt frame (U.S. Government rebuild). It now resides in my gun safe with 8 other 1911's.

I do like the 1911's that I've had the pleasure to shoot. I can't believe I haven't settled on one for myself.

I also liked my brother's P90 Ruger and would like to try a Glock in the SF frame.

A CZ97 is on my want list, too. I've read mixed reviews on their reliability to feed hollow points, but I'm willing to take the chance on one anyway.

The old, beat up stainless Colt MKIV Series 80 I bought off a friend a few years ago. That damned thing just runs and shoots as sweet as any of them.

I like several, the S&W, 645, that I own, the S&W, M&P, that I will own, and the S&W, 1911, that I too, will own ..... I also like the Springfield XD.
Of course, the Original, Colt .45 .....

I have had a Glock, 1911 (Goverment, Commander and Officer models) XD, XDm, 625 Smith revolver.

Love the M&P! Really like the XD, XDm. Sold all but 1 of the 1911's and sold the 625. Sorta regret the 625 being gone.

My XDM 45 is smooth and has better capacity but my 1911 has that classic style no modern design can match nor beauty

I'm going to be in the minority but I will say it anyway. My favorite .45 is undoubtedly the Jericho 941. Its a heavy metal frame weapon made in Israel and shoots like a dream. I would not want to use it for daily carry due to the weight but its a tack driver.

hk45 and hkusp45 are good weapons. a good upgraded 1911 is also a fine pistol in .45
