That was my second guess...but Google's stash of possum skull pics didn't match up with those teeth (especially in front).
    Huh.

I'm joining the possum club. My uncle who runs a wildlife rehabilitation center here in IN after moving back from Norfolk VA after retiring from 30+ years of service in the navy says we have freakishly large opossums here.

that sure has well developed teeth for such a small critter.

That's ^ one of the reasons why a few people couldn't agree on the age of whatever they said it might be. (As in, "if it was a 'baby' anything...the teeth would be smaller"...

The kids and I found the head of a rabbit in our fenced backyard one time. Little tufts of fur everywhere all around the yard... we had the great fuzzy hunter of a Lhasa Apso at the time. That dog was so fast, she kept the yard clear of rabbits, squirrels and birds up until she died at 14.

Is there such thing as midget (or little critters as they like to be called) possums? :dunno:

Maybe it came from an opossum mill (like a puppy mill) and it's parents bred one too many times. :)

The fur/hair looks like that of a ‘possum but the jaws are too short and the nose too round. It could be a juvenile though.

At first I thought is was a cat but the front teeth on the lower jaw on my cat are strait across from one fang to another so I don’t think it’s a cat.

    :dunno:
