    fail post is full of fail.
    Amish people;
    A) don't believe in vengeance.
    B) don't believe in violence.
    C) don't believe in cell-phones.
    D) all of the above.

    Anyone notice the <50 post count of the OP.

    I could be mistaken on the source, but I believe Mr. and Mrs. Gungho shared a story quite a while back about a group of Amish who would show up at Albro's and purchase a buttload of tactical firearms. I might be wrong on the source, but the story I remember well.

    Tactical meaning impossible to use for target practice and hunting?

    OP has been around quite a while, just doesn't post much. I don't see what bearing that has on anything. I think it's just a joke that missed...

    :rolleyes: They were buying loads of AKs and ARs. If you have a better term to quickly differentiate between them and bolt actions marketed for the hunting community, I'm all ears.

    Actually Amish can have cell phones if they are for business purposes.

    Funny story - My wife went to a Pampered Chef party (its kitchen and cooking stuff). The Pampered Chef representative was an Amish lady who showed up to the party in her buggy. However, when she came inside the house, she pulled out her laptop computer and proceeded to place orders. Then she handed everyone her business card with her email address and cell phone number. :dunno:

    Funny, I just watched a show on the History Channel where an Amish businessman explained that technology is acceptable when it aids to make a living. Of course, there are different groups of Amish.

    On the Amish cell phone subject...my buddy that works construction has seen them hang up their phone and say a quick prayer for using the phone before continuing their work.

    You count posts for a hobby or is it a vocation? Perhaps a calling?

    You really don't expect jokes to fulfill every jot and tittle of reality, eh. Must have a humorless life if you do.

    BTW... the young Amish man sexting the 12 year old certainly has a belief in cell phones.

    Agreed. He joined in July of 2008. Yep, he's in a big hurry to get to a post count of 50. :rolleyes:

    Yes, the joke was lame. But then again, most are.... to somebody. :)
