As some of you may remember, back in December of 2009 Spasmo surprised me with an early Christmas present: She paid off the last of our credit card debt, leaving us with just the mortgage and two cars. Well, I'm happy to report that not only are our credit cards STILL paid off, but as of three hours ago, the first car joins them! :rockwoot:

    Getting there...slowly but surely... :D

    Rock on Scutter!

We drove down that long road about 4years ago, and only recently picked up a car payment again. We're already itching to get rid of it.

Keep on keepin' on, brother, and you'll get there!

All I have is student loans.. Somehow I actually paid off my truck while I was in college. Lots of sleep deprivation I do believe. Every little bit helps!

It's actually two mortgages. It started out as an 80/20 (30yr/15yr), but we've refi'ed a couple of times to lower our rates. We'll be done with the "20" part of it much sooner than the 80. The payments for the two combined are equal to what a full mortgage would have been, so we just call it one mortgage.

The best thing you can do is to continue to make that "payment" to a savings account. Either that or take the money you were paying for that vehicle and throw it at the other vehicle.

Either way Congratulations are in order! :D

We definitely snowball it whenever we can. That car payment was surprisingly large and I'm looking forward to being able to buy an AK-47 every month now... ;)

RIGHT ON BROTHER! Live like no one else! :rockwoot:
Did you photograph you holding that final check? I've got several of those photos!

It's a great feeling. When I pay off my last debt, the house, I am going to throw a party the likes of which I have never seen.

While I would like to say that once the morgtage is paid off I will be done but there is something calling my name when that happens.
