I owned and loved Glocks, had a G22 and G19. Made decision to pare down to only 9mm so traded the G22 for a speed six revolver and kept the 9mm. Then decided I made a mistake trading the .40 cal and went to trade the G19 back for the G22. However, I was side tracked to an FNP .40. Way better feel in my hand but I still love the Glock. I wonder why I (and other's are so biased toward Glocks when there are many other good options)? I bought the FNP and here is opinion; it is by far a much better looking gun. That means little since I like the Glock's uglyness. But, the FNP feels better, shoots better, and breaks down better. However, I still want a glock but I don't know why. I suspect other glock lovers feel the same. I currently don't own a glock and am wanting to buy one just to have one even tho I really like the FNP, SR, XD, and MP. Thinking of buying a 9mm so my dilemma is buy glock just to have one or be open minded about my next purchase. Funny thing is I don't need a 9mm. Maybe I just need a Glock....HELP!

Yes Glocks are a mental thing as in, you have to be mental to own one!

LOL JK but someone was going to say it.

Honestly I too have been thinking about getting both a gen3 g23 and a g19 as much as i hate to admit it in this day and age Glocks are almost a necessity.

Yes. If you own a Glock, you are indeed "mental". You're welcome. :D :p

I think the whole Glock issue is part and partial to the simplicity of the thing. With there being around 36 parts for the whole gun including the mag parts, there is something just comforting about that.

Yes, buying a GLOCK is mental.

So is enlisting in the USMC. You could'a enlisted a lot of places, or not enlisted at all. NO: not calling any GLOCK an "OOOORAH" gun. But do not buy ANY gun until you've checked the + & - opinions of a lot of posters here, and a few gun shops, plus gotten to a range where you can rent various pieces to test. Then buy a USED piece that you like. Here's the USMC bit: what you decide to "sign up" for is the beginning of a career, in a way. I have only three 1911-types: Randall Raider .45, Gen. Lemay .45, Remington 1945 .45. And I have 3 GLOCKS. I do have other guns but that is not the point. Look; test; listen; shoot; repeat. My first GLOCK was a G-21, with the single trigger-group pin which I still have. ALL of my guns "fit" my personal "point of aim" which means the front sight is the first thing I see on my target. Some shooters can't fit the wide-body GLOCK, so are perfectly happy with other guns. It may be easier for ME to squeeze tighter on a 1911 frame than it is for THEM to squeeze a little looser on the GLOCK. To each their own. It's not a "penis-envy" sort of thing -- is it?? Welcome to the Addiction. There is no cure. Alleviate the cramps buy buying another gun. Works for me.

It could be that you have something the order of "battered spouse syndrome" or something.

You know that Glock is bad for you so you do the right thing and get rid of it.

Then you start feeling that you don't deserve better by getting together with say a Kimber,Sig Sauer or Beretta so you start wanting your Glock back...."but I looooove himmm...". Stop the cycle Dude....stop the cycle...
