    Hello all,

First post so please be gentle. I am a recently unemployed Vet that is looking to get his company going.

To the point. I am looking to start producing AR15 lowers here in Indiana, still waiting for FFL to go through. What do The rest of you think about a new Company producing Lowers? What do you look for in a lower? Acceptable price range, improvements, gripes, or suggestions.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

    Hi,
I'm from Madison too and I saw in the Courier where someone was approved to start producing lowers out in Lexington, I believe? I take it this is you.

With the demand for lowers (and anything AR related right now) I'd say you would be able to make a pretty good business, as long as you produce good quality products. I'd love to have a Madison made lower! If you need some summer employees to assist in producing lowers... I'm a jobless college student at the moment with a love for guns! *hint hint* ;)

The price point I'd like to see is around $100 for a stripped lower. I'd be interested in forged, mil-spec and mil-spec hardcoat annodized.

Oh, and add that they should be "low shelf" to be RDIAS/RLL compatible. I'd also like to see some attention to detail in regard to machining off the forge marks on the magwell, trigger guard and rear of the receiver.

i agree with vupdblue and evan. this is where i look. keep it dimensionally correct, put the holes in the right place, anodize it properly and keep it around a hundred bucks.

Everything that everyone said, in the $100-$120 range. It would be nice if they were marked multi-caliber, and even nicer if they were machined well, without marks.

Thanks for all the quick replies.

The recievers will be Mil Spec and Forgings are a must to me. Anodizing will also be to Mil Spec.
As for the LOGO. I like a clean look. I hate when companies put thier name all over something that I pay good money for. If they want to advertise on my property then pay up. No LOGO means less machine time which means less cost for you, my customer. If you would like your own LOGO or Monogram, whatever I would not object to working it out. More machine time though.
Total cost is still being ironed out. Working out deals on forgings and what my total machine time will be. Now for price. I want to keep it as low as possible. I have little over head, compaired to the big boys, so I should be very competitive. Remember Uncle Sam gets 11% of total cost for long guns and 10%hand guns. Then there is sales tax. Where does it end???? But I hear you and will do my best.

Please keep the comments coming. I want to put out a great product that you want.

    behind you
    Yup, We are :D

If you want to get in on a piece of INGO History you can place your order here for a CAV Arms lower that will start with "INGO" in the serial number.

    https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...cavalry_arms_stripped_receivers_129_95_a.html

In the future I will be looking into lowers that have the INGO logo on them. Probably the logo you see here minus the "tactical" on the bottom.

If we can have these lowers produced locally by a board member all the better.

I thought we were already doing that with the Cav Arms lowers? :D
