I like the idea... but it would HAVE to be something more along the lines of an S12, rather than an 11-70. If for no other reason than because it would be pretty boring to have a 3 - 4 shot capacity semi-auto.

I'm not for certain, but I don't believe their are any S12 receivers out there that can legally be built as a AOW.

A 3 to 5 round semi auto AOW would be interesting if done nice and compact. However, the Remington semi autos are nearly out of the running due to the recoil system built into the stock.

That's what I thought too since I believed that they were all imported with stocks, but apparently Tradertator proved us wrong. Is it just in Indiana where you have to start as a pistol grip to be AOW since we have the SBS ban?

That's the law everywhere. If it comes with a stock from the factory, it's a SBS. If it came from the factory with a pistol grip and never had a stock on it, it can be registered as an AOW.

I'd like to find a Remington 1100 AOW like the one at the end of Devils Rejects.

What they have done is taken a Saiga 12, completely stripped it, and transfered all the parts to a virgin AK receiver.

Contact Randy at Tactical Mitigations at 812 459-7786. He sells a Remington 870 AOW with 8" Barrel. Incredible gun. I think they're around $800 plus $5 stamp. :ar15:

How much different would it be from an 870 AOW? It should be EASIER to control with that mass of the bolt moving around.
