    The first pistol I bought for myself was also a Glock 23.

    I dont have it anymore, But I do keep a Glock 19 close at hand.

    This will not be your last, I now have over a dozen.

    Good first gun choice. You can not go wrong with this one. I am a die hard 1911 guy but you did good. It will not let you down when you need it. Shoot it as often as you can. Trigger time is the key to success.

    Congratulations on your first pistol. I bought my first revolver in 1976, it was a Ruger Blackhawk in 45Colt. I still have it. As others have mentioned you will probably buy again. I don't know how many handguns I have, I would have to go and count them. You never forget your first!
